The Halsted Grant Grants & Fellowships

Description

The health of the jewelry industry depends on the continuous flow of new talent and design creativity. It is critical that new artists also hone their business skills in order to effectively manage their small businesses in today's global market. Each summer Halstead awards a grant to a new jewelry designer working primarily in silver. The grand prize consists of $7,500 in start-up capital and $1,000 in merchandise as well as recognition in the industry. Finalists receive a smaller cash prize and help promoting their business. The most valuable reward the winner and finalists receive is a personalized feedback report complied with notes from all of the judges.

Yéigo Action Grant Grants & Fellowships

Description

The Yéigo Action Grant provides support for the growing landscape of Native artists and culture bearers who need financial assistance with a professional development opportunity or towards a hardship that is hindering their creative practice. This program offers grants between $100 and $5,000 for individual Native artists and culture bearers. First Peoples Fund (FPF) finds it essential to support artists in their times of need, especially when their work is impacted by sudden hardship. This grant’s name incorporates the Diné word yéigo, often used as a phrase of encouragement that can mean “keep going” or “don’t give up.”

Eligibility Info

Artists must be enrolled members of, or provide proof of lineal descendancy from, a U.S. federally recognized or U.S. state-recognized tribe or be able to provide proof of ancestry as an Alaska Native or Native Hawaiian.

Alexander Brest Gallery, BRAject Exhibition

Description

A thought-provoking art exhibit and fundraising event benefiting Pink Ribbon Jax’s free mammogram and imaging services initiative, BRAject is a life-affirming celebration featuring ordinary bras transformed into original works of art. Created by artists, breast cancer survivors and those who love them, the artrageous bras will be on display at Alexander Brest Gallery June 12 - July 9, 2025. "Breasts at Brest" BRAject creations will be on auction during the opening reception, June 12, 2025, and available via online bidding the remainder of the exhibit.

GranburyArts, the Granbury Cultural Arts Commission, is currently inviting local artists to submit images of their original artwork for potential selection in a catalog of art. This catalog will serve as a resource for various public art projects in our community, including utility box wraps, mosaic windows, murals, sculptures, and other visual arts in public buildings and parks. They welcome a broad range of media for the catalog, including paintings, photo­graphy, collages, sculptures, mosaics, and more. This is an incredible opportunity to have your artwork featured in public spaces and contribute to the artistic vibrancy of our city.

The 8th Annual PROUD+ Exhibition will be held July 3 - August 2, 2025, during San Diego Pride Month, showcasing the work of LGBTQ+ artists from across the country. Produced by The Studio Door, this national exhibition celebrates the unique perspectives and voices of the LGBTQ+ community through contemporary art. For nearly a decade, PROUD+ has provided a vital platform for LGBTQ+ artists to express their creativity, identity, and lived experiences. From bold declarations of self to quiet explorations of inner worlds, this exhibition seeks to highlight the richness and diversity of LGBTQ+ life and culture. Artists are invited to submit works that reflect their own interpretations of pride, resilience, and community.
