The Blake School in the Twin Cities, MN, welcomes proposals for its 2025-2026 McGuire Visiting Artist residency. Established in 1993 by Dr. Bill and Nadine McGuire, the biennial program seeks a teaching artist to collaborate with visual art faculty and students in grades Pre-K through 12.
Their most successful McGuire visiting artists enrich Blake’s visual arts curriculum with their cultural diversity, hands-on learning experiences, and community-driven art projects. The program’s structure is flexible and a residency will be scheduled between October 2025 and April 2026. Minimum residency length is two weeks. The typical budget range is $4,000 to $6,500. Travel and lodging expenses are typically covered for resident artists from outside the Twin Cities Metro Area.

Bethany Presbyterian Church seeks Seattle-area-based BIPOC, Latine, and AAPI artists to create artwork that communicates solidarity with the BIPOC, Latine, and AAPI communities at this juncture in history and their belief that cultural, ethnic, and racial diversity, expression, and reconciliation are central to human flourishing. The finished piece will be for temporary outdoor or outward-facing display on the church grounds. It need not be religious in nature.
They are open to a wide variety of visual media. This commission is intended to generate new, publicly visible work. Prior projects include video projections, 2-D & 3-D window hangings and displays, murals, and free-standing sculptures on their large, flat lawn on Queen Anne Ave.

The Hambidge Center is situated on 600 forested acres in the mountains of north Georgia and offers miles of nature trails, meadows, waterfalls, a swimming hole and an abundance of wildflowers.
The oldest residency program in the Southeast, Hambidge provides a self-directed program that honors the creative process and trusts individuals to know what they need to cultivate their talent, whether it’s to work and produce, to think, to experiment or to rejuvenate. Residents’ time is their own; there are no workshops, critiques, nor required activities.
Each resident is given their own private studio which provides work and living space with a bathroom and full kitchen. The studios are designed to protect residents’ time, space and solitude.

c.r.e.t.a. rome organizes artist residencies for periods of 4 weeks in the spring, summer and fall. The 2024/25 residencies include a shared equipped studio, some technical assistance, access to several electric kilns, advice on museums, galleries and sites in Rome and beyond. The residency fee does not include accommodation. A second residency site in the countryside of Rome is a particularly good option for collaborative projects and/or artists who want to bring their spouses/companions and/or young family (supplemental fee). Housing is included. Residents have a private studio and one-bedroom house. For ceramic artists, there is access to electric and gas kilns, with options for reduction firing.

Since 1996, ATA has sponsored a biennial, juried exhibition known as the American Tapestry Biennial. This juried exhibition highlights the best of international contemporary handwoven tapestry and has showcased hundreds of professional and amateur tapestry artists since its inception. The exhibition will feature not only artists who work within more traditional definitions of tapestry but also those who explore the core principles of the medium in conjunction with alternative processes and techniques.

The Indiana University Kokomo Art Gallery presents the juried exhibition “Uncanny.” When something has an unordinary or eerie quality, it may be referred to as “uncanny.” Something that evokes a strange and unexplainable aura makes the viewers question reality. Carolinas Rehabilitation is looking for local and regional artists (North and South Carolina) to submit pieces to be hung in their newly renovated, high-traffic space. Every three months the gallery will be filled with new art, chosen by a committee. The artists chosen for each time period will be able to display 3 pieces of art. They are looking for art that creates a positive and welcome distraction for their patients and visitors.
This is a busy lobby and connects to their flagship hospital. The campus is 4 million square feet. This is a fantastic opportunity for local artists to showcase their talent while gaining tremendous exposure. Proposals for your submissions should inspire positive reflection with a focus on community; health, hope and healing.

Following the principles of theFoundation, an NGO whose activities are based on ecosophical knowledge, this Artist Residency Program is conceived as an interchange platform between the artists-in-residency projects and the different practices that take place in the Foundation’s house, the city and the region. Mainly, the kind of practices that establish relationships with the environment based on sensitivity towards the planet, the protection of life, human freedoms and respect for individual differences.
This program is aimed at both artists (in a wide sense: from visual to performing arts, from music to writing) and cultural managers or agents interested in putting forward artistic projects aligned with discourses of ecological and social sustainability and, in general terms, with the knowledge and practices related to the values and objectives encouraged by Casa de Mono.

Cafe Tissardmine is a situated in a remote village in the Moroccan Sahara. The recognise the need for artists to recharge, share ideas, be inspired and to find a place to breathe. They run 6 – 7 residencies per year for a maximum of nine artists with this idea in mind. The residency is not project based or requiring specific engagement or outcome but it is a place to find peace and new ideas. Artists from all disciplines are welcome to apply.

Description
The Lakkos Artist Residency is a base for creatives to come and explore an authentic Greece city and a wonderful Greek island. The residency has just relocated to a new location that like the previous one needs a bit of an art injection. It’s a small area in Heraklion’s Old Town that time has not touched.
There are a couple of city beaches within walking distance. There is no obligation to put on a presentation at the end of an artist’s stay but if desired we often have one-night-only shows.

Breck Create’s Artist-in-Residence program offers artists across all disciplines the opportunity to focus on their creative process while engaging meaningfully with the local community. Residencies span 2 to 4 months, during which artists reside in a live/work studio within the Breckenridge Arts District, an intimate campus of historic structures nestled under majestic snow-capped peaks in cozy downtown Breckenridge. During the school year, artists serve as guest instructors in Summit County schools, providing support and supplemental curriculum to teachers. In the summertime, artists identify and collaborate with a community partner or organization on educational programs. Artists are expected to facilitate two weekly open studios on campus, instruct weekly lessons in schools and on campus, participate in on-campus public events, and collaborate with a community partner. The Mentorship Residency Program at Indigo Arts Alliance in Portland, Maine, brings together artists from diverse backgrounds of the African Diaspora to engage in their creative processes while building lasting relationships rooted in co-mentorship. The program pairs a National or International artist with a Local/Regional artist to foster rich conversations, collaborations, and exchanges of experiences, knowledge, and technical skills. Artists are encouraged to work independently but are expected to dedicate 8–10 hours weekly to joint activities, including community engagement and collaborative projects. The residency provides 24-hour access to a flexible 3,000-square-foot community studio equipped for various disciplines. Visiting Artists are provided with private housing within walking distance of the studio.

The Residency @ Greywood Arts is an artist-run space in our iconic 3-story Georgian house located in the centre of Killeagh, a vibrant modern Irish village. The Dissour River runs alongside the residency, and the the ancient Irish woodland Glenbower is just a short walk upstream. The house and garden are also home to Greywood’s Artistic Director, Jessica Bonenfant, her husband Hughie Coogan, and a menagerie of dogs, cats, chickens and goats. The Coach House, Greywood Arts CLG’s not-for-profit creative hub with studios, art classroom and event space is adjacent to the residency.
